Los Angeles-based artist Charlie Cho has cultivated a distinctive body of work through his exploration of light painting and night photography. His photographs incorporates locales that lends themselves to the post-apocalyptic mood often felt in his photographs. Moonlight usually bathes his eerie landscapes in a surreal mood that he then enhances by using a variety of light sources that he custom-builds.
His long exposures, typically ranging from 5 to 10 minutes, are captured in a single shot without relying on multiple exposures. A multidisciplinary artist, Charlie Cho blends technology with the concepts of time and space to craft compelling visual narratives about the world around us.
